Fundraising to the Tune of James Krueger
To help promote his CD releases "Live in Denver, NY" and "Bluebird in the Snow", award-winning Ulster County songwriter James Krueger is offering to donate $5 from the $15 purchase price to the Mid-Hudson Sierra Club.
CDs must be purchased directly from his Kingston-based label Contemporary Acoustic by calling 845-331-5851, or through his web site www.jameskrueger.com. If ordering on the web put "Mid-Hudson Sierra" in the "Comments" field on the checkout page. Sample songs from his web site and check out his performance schedule.
With songs like "Catskill Mountain Snow" and "North Lake Passage" (North Lake is near Tannersville), James' music celebrates the beauty of the natural environment, especially the Catskills where he visited as a child and has lived for the past 9 years. He is glad to be supporting the activities of the Mid-Hudson Sierra Club and gave a concert fundraiser for Sierra in November 2004.
New offer!
Member David Friedman is offering a 10% donation to our Sierra Club, and a modest discount to the shopper, for orders through his website www.bibliotique.us for used or rare books! Use coupon code "MH-Sierra"at checkout.
New Tag Sale Location - An Indoor Event
New Hackensack Reformed Church on Rte. 376
Date: September 20th, 2008
Thanks Joanne Hartwig for making the arrangements for us for this year and sparing us weather worries since this sale
can be rain or shine. We get to price items the night before and set up. It still helps if you clean items before delivery.
Thanks also to Carol Jarvis, our excellent and experienced Tag Sale chair who is returning to organize our main
fundraiser and is delighted that it won?t be outdoors. Sierra Club is appreciative of our prior successful events at Mulligan's.
So - everyone mark your calendars for SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 20 rain OR shine for the sale. Your clean,
saleable items can be dropped off the afternoon/evening of Friday 19 (pricing your items is still a big help). With the
sale now being held indoors, worn out items will make the entire room look less than desirable! Thus, we ask that you
*be selective* with what you deem saleable.
Volunteers are needed to assist procuring raffle items and for working Friday afternoon/night and Saturday....contact
Carol at cajarvis@vassar.edu or at 473-5620.
