Keynote Speaker: Professor Joseph Makarewicz - Distinguished Professor - Department of Environmental Science & Biology, at SUNY Brockport. - Dr. Makarewicz is an expert in the area of fresh water ecosystems and pollution, and is the author of "New York's North Coast: A troubled Coastline,"  (requires ) a report on environmental threats to Lake Ontario.He will speak on water issues related to the Great Lakes. In a time when pollution controls are threatened and lake water itself has become a saleable commodity, Professor Makarewicz’s talk is sure to be of interest to all in the Lake Ontario watershed.
