Willowpoint Public Hearing Announced - At the Willowpoint townhouse development in Webster, the developer plans to install docks for 46 boats and widen and pave an access road over the steep slopes to Irondequoit Bay. Environmental problems with this plan were described in detail in the Webster Post, May 25, 2005, p, 10A. The New York Department of Environmental Conservation, (NYDEC) will hold a legislative public hearing on the Willowpoint plan on September 12, 2005 at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria/ auditorium of the Plank North Elementary School, 705 Plank Rd. (corner of Plank and Scribner Roads), Webster, NY. The hearing will receive unsworn statements from the public on the developer’s application. People may submit oral or written comments. It is not necessary to file in advance to speak at the hearing. Written comments will be accepted until 10 days after the close of the hearing. An Issues Conference will be held on September 13, 2005 at 10 a.m. at the Webster Community Center, 985 Ebner Road, Webster, NY, if petitions for party status are received by September 6, 2005 at 4 p.m..
